On Saturday, July 16, the Embassy of France will welcome Washingtonians to Comité Tricolore’s spectacular annual Bastille Day celebration. Chefs from the most prestigious area restaurants (listed below) will offer a buffet of mouth-watering creations! Patrons will revel in an intoxicating mix of Édith Piaf melodies performed by the magical duo Jacques and Marie, as well as live jazz music! There will be tempting served cocktails at the open bars, a luxury-item silent auction, and a raffle for a round-trip for two to Paris courtesy of Air France!

Auction
Take an imaginary trip to France as you visit different Parisian "arrondissements" (neighborhoods) throughout the evening. Cocktails and a silent auction will begin the festivities. Guests will have a chance to bid on restaurant and hotel vouchers, pieces of art, as well as luxury items!

Cuisine
Thanks to the traditions of each region in France, its diverse and refined cuisine is a major contributor to precious shared moments and lasting friendships. Come savor a delectable buffet of mouth-watering creations — both classic French dishes and modern twists — with some of Washington’s most renowned chefs (with the participation of the students of Académie de Cuisine)! This Parisian celebration will also include authentic French pastries and an open bar of French wine, spirits and bubbly. Enjoy it all with friends and family during this rare evening behind the gates of the Embassy of France!

Participating restaurants include: Citronelle, Ici Urban Bistro, The Ritz Carlton, Pâtisserie Poupon, Et Voila, Café du Parc at the Willard Intercontinental, Bastille, Bistrot Lepic & Wine Bar, Paul, Belga Café, Evo Bistro, Food Wine & Co., La Bergerie, Moorenko’s Ice Cream, the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, Panorama Baking, Petits Plats, Ris, Silver Spoon and Mighty Leaf Teas, and CityZen at the Mandarin Oriental!

Music
Throughout the evening, enjoy live French music and dancing!

The Comité Tricolore — a coordinating committee of French and French-American associations in the Washington, DC metro area — is a non-profit volunteer organization that provides healthcare support to the sick and elderly in the local French and French-American communities. Proceeds from the evening will sustain this mission throughout the year.

Celebrate Bastille Day at the Embassy of France and support a worthy cause!
